Careers, Volunteering &
Work Placements

Career Opportunities

Bonorong is very lucky to have a body of long-term, experienced staff which means that positions do not become available very often. However, there are other options for those wishing to become part of the Bonorong team, even if only for a short while.

When we do have positions available within the Sanctuary, we advertise them on our Facebook page

Keep an eye out - they come up rarely and often close quickly!

Note: We do not keep resumes on file.

Wildlife Hospital opportunities

Our wildlife hospital opened in early 2018. We are sometimes able to accept qualified volunteer vets and vet nurses (limited places only).

Our Wildlife Hospital is about to undergo some exciting new renovations! During this time we are unable to host volunteer vets or vet nurses. We expect to be able to offer these positions again in 2025.

Work placements / work experience

We do not currently offer work placement or work experience. If you are seeking work placement at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, you might be interested in our accredited certificate II and III courses that will include work placement. Our dedicated team will provide students with practical experience within our wildlife sanctuary.

If you would like more information, contact us via email study@bonorong.com.au.

volunteering

Long term single volunteers and one-off (or returning!) groups of volunteers are more than welcome at the Sanctuary.  There are plenty of jobs to go around, please see below the different options available!

Please note there is no volunteer accommodation at Bonorong.
